In January
2011, One Direction signed a record deal with Simon Cowel's label, Syco
Records. Then, in November of 2011, One Direction also signed a record deal

more than 76.000 copies, beating John Mayer tour DVD sales (65,000 copies). Sales
at its inaugural weekend is also noted as the second highest record during the
last five years. The first position is held by the singer who also comes from
United Kingdom, Adele with a concert DVD Live at the Royal Albert Hall, which
sold 96,000 copies in 2011.
